About the CEO
Dr. Vitus Victor Anaab-Bisi is an illustrious Ghanaian General Medical Practitioner and a Public Health Professional with a rare blend of over thirty (30) years in clinical practice, institutional transformation, exceptional visionary leadership and a passion for excellence. He has a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape.
On 11th June 2025, he was appointed the Chief Executive Officer of the International Maritime Hospital (IMaH).
Dr. Vitus Victor Anaab-Bisi believes in fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity. He is committed to empowering team members to drive growth, improve processes, and deliver exceptional results.
Education
Dr. Anaab-Bisi’s pursuit of medical excellence began in the Republic of Ukraine, where he earned his Medicine degree in 1994. He also pursued a diploma of higher education in Health Systems Management at the Galilee College Israel in 2004.
His passion for discovery and love of learning led him to obtain a Master of Science Public Health in Developing Countries from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London, United Kingdom in 2007. He further pursued a master’s degree in Business Administration, Health Services Management (MBA-HSM) from the University of Ghana Business School, Accra Ghana in 2014.
Key Contributions to Ghana’s healthcare system
Dr. Anaab-Bisi initiated and lead the 12-member technical team responsible for the planning, design review, construction, equipping and operationalization of the International Maritime Hospital (IMaH). He was also actively involved as a consultant to The Bank Hospital’s Blue Print and implementation committees in the construction and operationalization of The Bank hospital.
He oversaw the formation of a high-level interagency Covid-19 committee while serving as incident commander in the Port of Tema during the epidemic. This committee made sure that all procedures were strictly followed, saving the lives of many people who pass through Ghana’s seaports.
Dr. Anaab-Bisi has a wealth of expertise in occupational health and currently serves as the chairman of the Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Committee of the Ghana Ports & Harbours Authority (GPHA).
